Mission & Vision Statement
Human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation is a global human rights and social justice issue that impacts victims, families, and communities including many in Monterey County. Set Free Monterey Bay (SFMB) established itself in 2018 and gained 501c3 status in 2020.
Mission Statement:
Set Free Monterey Bay fights human trafficking by prevention education, awareness training, and survivor restoration through long term residential and outpatient care.
Vision:
Set Free Monterey Bay aspires to be the guide that equips a child to evade human trafficking, the wisdom that guides community leaders toward successful human trafficking eradication, and the last stop on a survivor’s journey to healing.
Set Free Monterey Bay is committed to providing residential care because it has been shown to help survivors avoid re-victimization and re-engagement with the life of exploitation, while also providing them the tools and stability they need to establish a new life. Thank you for your willingness to partner with us in this Kingdom work.

Set Free Monterey Bay-SFMB
Set Free Monterey Bay call their monthly recurring supporters ‘Defenders’. Defenders not only choose to make a difference in the lives of survivors each month but Defend against the forces of evil and the ongoing social justice issue that is Human trafficking. Defenders receive monthly video updates keeping supporters in on all things program related. SFMB recognizes the importance of updates since donors can’t physically visit the safe house & many don’t get the chance to meet the residents. Set Free desires to keep you in the know and explain the magnitude of your impact. Consider a monthly gift or a one-time gift of $100 or more today.
